Tired of your apples always going soft? Or bananas becoming to ripe too quickly?

As we move through Spring and fresh fruit is plentiful, use some of the following tips to keep your beautiful fruit deliciously fresh!

  1. Keep your fruit fresh by keeping it in the fridge. In the bottom drawer or crisper of your fridge is the best place for fruit.
  2. Keeping a paper towel lining the drawer of your crisper will keep moisture from accumulating and over ripening your fruit as fast.
  3. Cut off or throw away any moldy fruit and wash off your other fruit in the drawer for fruit that will last even days longer.
  4. Keep cut fruit fresh without it turning brown by adding lemon juice when storing it in the fridge.

Any great ideas we haven't mentioned?

I have always heard strawberries shouldn't be washed until you are going to use them to try to prevent mold.
